Ocean of seas
A blue field, dense and silent, occupies the space with an almost meditative regularity. The surface, seemingly smooth, nevertheless reveals fine vertical striations, discreet traces of an elongated, restrained gesture. On this uniform expanse, white and blue fragments emerge, precisely disseminated, as if suspended in a slow drift.
Each irregular form seems detached from the background while being intimately linked to it. Their distribution is not random: it constructs a subtle balance, a visual breath where the gaze circulates freely. The masses respond to each other from a distance, creating a slight tension between dispersion and cohesion.
Light glides smoothly over the material, revealing in places a thickness, a tiny, almost imperceptible relief. The blue, deep yet serene, acts as a mental space, a limitless horizon, while the brighter highlights introduce points of rupture, of suspension.
The pictorial gesture remains contained, controlled, as if each intervention had been applied with restraint, with deliberate economy. Nothing overflows. Everything seems measured.
The whole evokes a slowed fall, frozen rain, or a suspended constellation. A sensation of floating settles in, silent, almost immobile, leaving behind an impression of calm infinity, where matter becomes trace, and trace, memory.
